Reflection of the Week - 15 August 2018

Posted in Faith

We all have dark days. When there seems that the light at the end of the tunnel has been extinguished. And the future holds little hope. We feel shrouded in blackness; unable to smile, unable to care. It's exhausting and the burden is heavy.

God, only you know how I'm really feeling. You truly understand. Words fail me - but you hear the groaning of my heart. Longing for a better day, and a brighter future. Longing for hope.

Even when I'm in the pit of darkness and the world is no longer bright, I will continue to talk with you, God. I know you care...even when I can't quite feel it. I know you're there...even when I feel distant. May I walk through the darkness knowing that You've promised a better day, O God, and find hope in Your promises, even when I'm feeling hopeless.

Reflection of the Week - 16th April 2024

Don’t you wonder sometimes how our covenant Lord who is God – Creator, Master, and Teacher, can and does create from nothing and does not need anything or anyone but is helplessly in love with you?

Reflection of the Week - 23rd April 2024

While I claim no expert knowledge when it comes to sheep, I did find myself relating to Jesus in his role as the Good Shepherd in today's gospel (21st April).

I am the Editor of the Grange UC weekly 'NEWS SHEET'. Thank you for your weekly «Reflection». Most weeks I use it, sometimes with slight modification to align with what may be happening within our congregation.
It is a helpful, contemporary, time saving resource, for a busy Editor. Keep up the good work.
    Shalom, Bob Bradshaw
