Reflection of the week

Posted in Faith

As the winter solstice approaches, with the reduction of sunlight, my own energy level is reduced. I feel the inertia of hibernation. I am less than productive. How, I wonder, do I find a new impetus in the service of my Lord?

“O Lord, in the morning, you hear my voice; in the morning I plead my case to you, and watch.” – Psalm 5:3

Watching for the dawn on these dark, early mornings provides me with an experience of the presence of God, who refreshes my soul. I wait, trustingly and without fear, for whatever the day may bring.

The pale grey font makes this difficult to read.

Thanks for letting us know, Glenys — and for your later comment that it is easier to read on your phone. I'll be sure to pass this feedback along to our graphic and web designer.
