Moderator’s Report

Topics included:

• Covenanting Committee meetings
• Covenanting Officer Position seeking supply.

Bronte thanked the Synod Standing Committee for their support during his term. He is excitedly looking forward to God leading him to a new call on his life.

Bronte prayed for the Synod Standing Committee.

Dr Deidre Palmer prayed for Bronte Wilson, Moderator.

UnitingCare Report

Topics included:

• Reconciliation Week
• Disability Royal Commission Update
• Remuneration for Directors
• UnitingCare Lefevre Inc and Emergency Relief Centre Working Group
• Appointments to various boards.

Resources Board/Property Trust Report

Peter Battersby presented an overview of the 2022 Financial Statements along with the Mission and Service fund quarterly figures.

Synod Standing Committee approved the adoption of the completed Financial Statements.

They also acknowledged the ongoing commitment of congregations to the wider Church through their 2022 Mission and Service Fund contributions.

Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress (UAICC) Report

Rev Ken Sumner gave an ‘around the grounds’ report of UAICC Ministry Centres. He encouraged everyone to be informed about all aspects of the conversation around the Voice.
