Act Justly, Love Constantly, Live Humbly

New Year’s resolutions are offered with the best intentions, though so often have the worst follow through. We may aim too high, or expect to implement things that have previously passed us by in our busyness.

What resolution is significant, yet simple enough to maintain this year?
For nearly 3,000 years, from ancient times, Jesus’ teachings, emerging Church life, to now, these readings hold a common message 

“What does God require of me today? “
Every day is a new beginning. God welcomes us each morning. Why not resolve to humbly welcome God into our life each day? Micah 6:8 offers a culmination of living in God’s Way that is simple, sound, sensible and saintly.

Act Justly, Love Constantly, Live Humbly
Jesus reframes it to finding happiness and peace through living in God’s Way.

May our year ahead be one where we welcome our God each morning, recommit to living in God’s Way, and seek the strength to follow this through.
