Reflection of the Week - 30 January 2019

Posted in Faith

Often, we forget that this life is temporary. We forget to 'fix our eyes on what is unseen', seeking pleasures from this world which will only pass away.

Jesus said "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Matthew 16:24-26

Lord, please remind me to put you first. Following you can be hard - as hard as 'taking up our cross daily'. Give me your strength so that I will be able to find life eternal life with you.

May I not be so concerned with gaining the whole world, following the trends of around me, but may I be concerned with following you more closely everyday.

Reflection of the Week - 16th April 2024

Don’t you wonder sometimes how our covenant Lord who is God – Creator, Master, and Teacher, can and does create from nothing and does not need anything or anyone but is helplessly in love with you?
