Safe Church Screening
It’s nearly 5 years since the introduction of the Working With Childrens Check (WWCC) became a minimum requirement for those with roles of responsibility within the life of the church.

At some point, our forefathers sailed across the seas to reach Australia.
For some of us, this happened a lot more recently
For others, it was a long time ago.
We are all aliens in this land; with no right to claim it as our own.
How many more still come across the seas
to our "boundless plains to share"
in the hope of starting a new life...perhaps fleeing for the sake of their own.
Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands) —
remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
Lord God, you did not come only to save your chosen people
But for all of us.
Your compassion and love extends past "boundaries" of race, country and culture
covering all of humanity, allowing both Jew and Gentile to be called Your children.
Just as our loving Father has had compassion on all people
May we have that same compassion and love for our brothers and sisters
Regardless of where they come from.
May we have hearts willing to share, to empathise and assist.
Amen.

Jesus meets Thomas the way he meets all of us—wherever we are when we decide we are ready.
Don’t you wonder sometimes how our covenant Lord who is God – Creator, Master, and Teacher, can and does create from nothing and does not need anything or anyone but is helplessly in love with you?
