Reflection of the Week - 10 December 2019
This week's reflection reminds us to really think about how we prepare for Jesus' coming.
Posted in Faith
With just a few short weeks until Christmas
We enter into a season of waiting
anticipating
getting ready
“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
'Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.
Every valley shall be filled in,
every mountain and hill made low.
The crooked roads shall become straight,
the rough ways smooth.
And all people will see God's salvation.'”
Luke 3:4-6
Lord,
In Christ, we have seen your salvation.
We celebrate his birth in a few weeks
And treasure your truth in our hearts
May my Christmas preparations be inward-looking
Preparing my heart for the arrival of Jesus.
May external preparations be a small part of my Christmas
And my I invite others to see God's salvation for themselves.
