Reflection of the Week - 25 August 2020

Lord, there is so much human need around us; it’s tempting to withdraw into our cave, and let it all pass by.

‘I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in … Whatever you did for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’ – Matthew 25:35, 40

Jesus, imprint on my heart that whatever I do for others, I do for you, and whatever I don't do for others, I don't do for you.

Lord, give me the grace to be willing to pay the price of truly loving people; of making sacrifices in time and energy. Give me your heart so that you can love through me.
