This week's reflection takes its lead from a poem.
Reflection of the Week - 20 February 2019
Posted in Faith
We wonder about the presence of God, His presence in our time of trouble, In times of joy, In times of turbulence, In times when our lives are so full, so busy, that we barely know our own thoughts.
Isaiah 58:9 (New International Version): Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: "Here am I."
The promise of God: if we call, God himself will answer! God will say " Here I am". His presence is available simply by calling on him. It is not conditional on us doing anything but calling on him. >Even in the turbulence, in the busyness, God's presence is available to us.
Thank you loving God for your presence in our lives, for answering our call, for inviting us to call on you. Thank you for your gift of Jesus, the giving of his life, dying for us so that we might live, and know your presence in our lives. Thank you for your amazing love, the promise of your love, today, tomorrow and every day. Amen
We give you praise, glory and honour, as our God, our King and our Father. Lord, help us to reflect your love to the people around us today and tomorrow. Help us to live out your presence in our lives, so that all may see your love, your life, your peace. We give you praise!
