Peace I leave with you. (John 14: 27) During this week the International Day of Peace takes place. Let us pause and remember Jesus, peace-maker, and peace-giver.
My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid. As I breathe in I receive Jesus' gift of peace. As I breathe out I release anger, fear, tension and resentment. I am filled with peace, When life begins to overwhelm me, and my feelings push me around, I pause, remember, and reach out for the peace that is available to me.
Jesus, peace-giver, help me to be open to You when fear and anger well up within me. I can't always change how I feel, but I can choose not to act out of my feelings.
I desire to be a peaceful person, and to be a peace-maker. When I find myself in places where anger and hatred are present, I will breathe out a silent prayer of peace: I will seek to understand and to work for reconciliation in the name of Jesus Christ.

Don’t you wonder sometimes how our covenant Lord who is God – Creator, Master, and Teacher, can and does create from nothing and does not need anything or anyone but is helplessly in love with you?
Jesus meets Thomas the way he meets all of us—wherever we are when we decide we are ready.
