This week's reflection talks of true reconciliation.
Reflection of the Week - 10 March 2020

We delight in the laughter and chatter of children.
Their openness, honesty and trust is something we seem to lose as we become adults.
Jesus loved all the little children and would not let the disciples send them away.
They were precious to him, as they should be for us, for their faith is simple and open.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
How often do we dismiss the words and the actions of the children in our lives?
So often we are too busy with work or with our family to give them our time,
but you always had time for them.
They were important to you just as they should be important to us.
Jesus, friend of little children, help me to slow down
so that I may see and hear when a child needs me.
Assist me to really hear the simple faith behind their words and so bring me
to a greater understanding of your love.
Thank you, Loving One,
that you prompt me throughout my life to listen again to your words.
I need to read over and over your thoughts on children and the Kingdom,
so that I can make their lives special here in this Kingdom on earth.
