Reflection of the Week - 10 April 2019

Posted in Faith

The sceptics challenge me with their reservations, asking niggling questions.
'Do you believe it is true that Jesus is alive? And where is the evidence?'
Thomas was honest. He refused to say he understood when he didn't.
Can I be as honest in admitting my own limited understanding? (John 20:25b.)

'Blessed are those who have not seen, yet have come to believe.' John 20: 29b.

Jesus offered to show Thomas his wounded side, to touch and feel it.
I don't have such tangible evidence to offer those who search for the
truth, but only the evidence of his living presence in my life.

Living, loving Lord, may the way I think, speak and act today,
witness to my belief in the unseen power of your love and grace. Amen.

Reflection of the Week - 16th April 2024

Don’t you wonder sometimes how our covenant Lord who is God – Creator, Master, and Teacher, can and does create from nothing and does not need anything or anyone but is helplessly in love with you?
