Reflection of the week

Posted in Faith

The world is a noisy place. The hum of traffic passing my front fence is constant. Many voices demand my attention – on television, on radio, and in the incessant tunes of mobile phones. Some voices cajole, wanting me to cast a vote in their favour. Where, I wonder, can I hear your still, quiet voice?

“Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him.” – Psalm 37:7

Free me up, O God, from all the distractions that threaten to drown out your voice, as I acknowledge your majesty as the ruler of my life.

Reflection of the Week - 16th April 2024
