Reflection of the week

Every waking and rising is a new birth, and God's mercy is new every morning. A time to focus on God's Word to find the way of peace, while Jesus points shows the way to the resolution of conflict in our relationships.

“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.” – Matthew 5:23-24

Today I want to live in peace with friend and neighbour, so that my service to God may be an acceptable gift.

Prayer

Merciful God, when I excuse my anger as being righteous, forgive me. When I let my pride get in the way of a true reconciliation with another, forgive me. Create in me a clean heart, O God, where hurt is forgiven and blame erased, for the sake of Your Son, who gave his life for me. Amen.
