Reflection of the week

Posted in Faith

No matter where or when we decide to meet with God, God is there first, waiting eagerly and expectantly for us, waiting to give us courage, love and healing.

Take a few moments to quieten your mind. Breathe slowly and deeply, and acknowledge the presence of God with you and in you. Read these words a few times over and let them penetrate your spirit:

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:4-7(NIV)

What is the “anything” you worry about? Where do you need peace in your life? Tell God about these things. Breathe the worries and stresses out and breathe in the peace of God. Sit quietly and enjoy your time with God.

Would a few minutes spent like this every day make you a more peaceful person? Could this become a pattern in your life?

May your heart and mind be guarded, this day and every day, by the peace and presence of God. Amen.

Reflection of the Week - 16th April 2024

Don’t you wonder sometimes how our covenant Lord who is God – Creator, Master, and Teacher, can and does create from nothing and does not need anything or anyone but is helplessly in love with you?
