Can’t find it on the website?

The Presbytery and Synod website is crammed full of resources for your ministry, but sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what you’re looking for. That’s why we have a search function directly under the menu bar – just start typing and suggestions will start appearing!

If you still can’t find something, or if you see anything amiss on the website, please let us know through the comments/feedback form! (It’s the green tab on the far right of your desktop or the green bar at the bottom of the page on your mobile device.) Let us know how the site could better serve you.

Called to Care orientation sessions

We are all, in response to God’s love, called to care for one another and the community in which we share in fellowship and ministry. In doing this, we seek to create safe places and practices. Called to Care orientation sessions are for key leaders, officer bearers and church council members and are built around this foundational concept. During the three-hour session, conversations and reflections will look at the practicalities of creating a safe place for all our ministry activities.

There are three Called to Care orientation sessions being held over the coming month – Playford Uniting Church on Saturday 27 February, The Corner Uniting Church on Sunday 28 February and Burnside City Uniting Church on Saturday 5 March. Open mic at Brougham Place

On the fourth Sunday of each month, Brougham Place Uniting Church (193 Brougham Place, North Adelaide) hosts an open mic night in their basement. All are invited to come along and shape worship in community. The event nights also include food for purchase and great company. Café opens at 5pm, worship begins at 6pm. This month’s event will be held on Sunday 28 February on the theme “The Lenten Journey.” Everyone welcome! More information is available here.

Oasis – Flinders Uni

Oasis, located at Flinders University, has just launched a refurbished meeting space with prayer and meditation rooms, quiet study areas, a kitchen, and free tea and coffee!

Rev Dave Williamson is the half-time Chaplain with Oasis at Flinders Uni and is looking to connect with people that might be studying at any of the four Flinders campuses this year. This week is O’Week and there are many new students who are looking to connect with others and familiarise themselves with uni life.

Dave and the team from Oasis would like to connect with any people who might be starting out at Flinders Uni or those that have been students for some time. Dave can be contacted via email Turn on Javascript! or mobile 0417 073 431. Read more about Oasis here and connect with them on Facebook here.

Banners to give away

Goolwa Uniting Church has several banners available to give away to any interested congregation. The banners celebrate baptism, communion, Easter and Pentecost. There are also some for other celebrations of the Christian calendar and others for general use. Please contact Jill Presgrave on 8555 3311 for an appointment to see the banners.
