Lent Event funds for SA projects

During Lent Event, many congregations and individuals stepped up to partner with a worldwide community to live out God’s bigger picture of renewal and restoration. UnitingWorld and the Presbytery and Synod of SA are deeply grateful and thank you for standing in solidarity with those whose lives are bound by poverty.

It’s now time to get Lent Event donations in and sent on their way to our overseas partners.

If you have chosen a South Australian project, please send these funds to the Synod Office via your Lent Event Coordinator. All donation information can be found here.

If you would like to support general UnitingWorld projects, please donate directly to UnitingWorld (tax receipts will be issued).

Calling for biscuits!

As you may know, a special part of the Kairos prison ministry program is “biscuit ministry”.  Up to 650 dozen (yes, you read it right) homemade biscuits and slices are taken into Mobilong Prison for each four-day course, where they are shared amongst guests, team and other prisoners. Receiving these homemade gifts is a really special part of the Kairos experience.

If you would like to be of this great ministry, the Kairos team would love your help in making biscuits or slices on or before Friday 22 April.

For information on the “dos and don’ts”, packing information, and how to get these homemade goodies to the Kairos team, please contact Leah Hopton via email at Turn on Javascript!
