REMINDER: Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC) Annual Information Statement

Your congregation/parish must submit the Annual Information Statement (AIS) to the ACNC for your 2015 Financial Year. For most Uniting Church SA entities (those with a January to December financial year), the deadline is Thursday 30 June. Please click here to access the 2015 AIS Response Guide, which has been written to help Uniting Church SA entities complete their AIS.

 

Aged care chaplains needed at Eldercare

Eldercare are seeking people to fill two aged care chaplain positions within their multi-disciplinary team. Requirements include substantial relevant pastoral experience, grounded in consistent reflective practice and an ability to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and development and a genuine enthusiasm for offering quality spiritual and pastoral care to people living in an aged care setting. Remind, Refresh, Resource – Eyre Peninsula

Uniting Church members on Eyre Peninsula are invited to attend a fun-filled training day at Lock Uniting Church on Saturday 9 July, 9.30am-4pm. Sponsored by Uniting Foundation with support of Mission Resourcing, this day is for congregation leaders, worship leaders and preachers. The event is free and lunch is provided.

Resthaven Port Elliot Wins award!

On Friday 3 June, Resthaven Port Elliot won the Aged Living Design award at the 2016 Aged and Community Services (ACS) SA and NT Awards for Excellence presentation. ACS is the national peak body representing not-for-profit organisations in the aged and community care industry.

Designed by Brown Falconer Group, Resthaven Port Elliot is a state-of-the-art aged care home, blending an external design that complements the historic setting of the heritage-listed main street, with a liveable and efficient contemporary interior.

Uniting Foundation grant applications

Uniting Foundation is seeking applications from congregations, faith communities, ministry centres and individuals for assistance with funding eligible projects. Due to the modest amount of funds available for distribution this year, prayerful discernment and discretion is required before applying.

Hire forms for Uniting Church premises

Hiring out church premises requires a Licence Agreement to be in place – an agreement formalising the hire by a person/organisation for non-exclusive use, including if required for one occasion only. There are three agreements available to congregations (short form, long form, and long form including bond).
