Pilgrimage of Healing

Each year during Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June annually), the Pilgrimage of Healing raises funds for a particular Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress (UAICC) project.

This year, proceeds will go towards the UAICC’s vision for developing a regional, ecumenical faith community based in the old Tailem Bend Uniting Church building. The building requires a number of urgent, critical repairs to ensure it’s a suitable and safe space. Members of the Uniting Church SA are encouraged to prayerfully consider donating to this cause.

For more information about the Pilgrimage of Healing, please contact Congress Resource Officer Ian Dempster on 0417 217 320 or email Turn on Javascript!

The gathering would provide an opportunity for church communicators to share hints, tips and stories with one another to help grow communications strategies that are efficient and effective. Over two sessions, Vina Hotich, a child and family counsellor, will offer core strategies to keep focused on what is working, and to identify where new tactics could help. Insights, skills, consideration of wider family along with managing timetables are a few of the topics covered. The second session will focus on common issues identified by the group at the first session.
