Uniting Church SA WHS Workshop for Church Councils (Urban East & Hills)

Hosted by Morialta Uniting Church on Thursday 18 February, 7.30pm -9.30pm

This workshop is specifically for church council members and has been designed to clarify the law surrounding Work, Health & Safety (WHS) and the Uniting Church. There will be time to look at church council members as “officers” and their responsibilites as well as examples of simple practical ways to help manage WHS in your congregation.

The workshop is being led by Wayne Booth (Uniting Church SA WHS Coordinator), with plenty of opportunity to ask those WHS questions you always wanted answered!

Called to Care

Pastoral Relations & Mission Planning

Orientation sessions are being offered in the Adelaide metro area in the coming months.

We are inviting office holders and members of church councils, the congregation’s “Safe Church” contact person and key leaders of programs to attend this three-hour workshop.

The first workshop for the year will be held at Burnside City Uniting Church on Tuesday 16 February at 7pm. Please register your intention to attend with Called to Care Training and Development Officer Linda Vinall by emailing Turn on Javascript!

State Mission Fellowship

The next State Mission Fellowship gathering will be held on Tuesday 23 February at Scots Church Adelaide (corner of North Terrace and Pulteney Street, Adelaide). The meeting starts at 10.30am with service of dedication and communion, featuring speaker Dr Deidre Palmer. Morning tea at 10am; stay for lunch ($5). Everyone welcome. Stillpoint Lenten Quiet Day - "Walking in the Valley of the Shadow"

Stillpoint Spirituality Centre

“Walking in the Valley of the Shadow” describes well the Lenten journey of Jesus and the disciples. We all have "shadow" experiences through life and we will be invited to explore ways of not only recognising and working through our losses, but also looking for the resurrections. Use at home or at a retreat day. A brochure can be downloaded here. 

Ordination service

All are welcome to attend the ordination of Nick Patselis and Priscilla Hein on Sunday 21 February, 2pm, at Adelaide West Uniting Church (312 Sir Donald Bradman Drive, Brooklyn Park).
