Farewell to Ann Cotton and Malcolm Wilson
Last Thursday, we said goodbye to two well-loved staff members, Ann Cotton, and Malcolm Wilson, as they take the journey into retirement.
Ann has been a member of the Synod office for eight years as the Personal Assistant to the Director of Uniting Care SA. Her commitment to the ministry and mission of the God through the church, expressed through its organisations and agencies has been a great service to the Synod.
Malcolm has served seventeen years in the mission and ministry of the Synod of SA through his roles as Rural Mission Planner, Associate General Secretary, and Grants and Historical Records Officer. Malcolm’s faithfulness in service and dedication to the mission of God through the church is a wonderful gift.
The staff meeting to celebrate their service and was both joyful and a little sad, but we wish Ann and Malcolm all the best during this next exciting phase in their lives!

Recently the Uniting Church released its vision for an Intergenerational Church, a Church where every generation is engaged together in active discipleship, growing and sharing faith in Jesus, a Church for all ages where faith and discipleship is encouraged, equipped, and expressed intergenerationally.
Part of an ongoing project, this series of twelve short, free, downloadable papers has emerged to assist the church in being and becoming more intentionally intergenerational. Michael Frost offers a compelling framework for understanding mission by drawing on the rich tapestry of Christian history and revealing how context shapes mission, just as a bottle shapes water.
Join Dr. Michael Frost in Adelaide for a deep-dive into mission, with two offerings:
