  • Our Earth, God's beautiful Creation, and all those who are determined to be better stewards
  • The young adult leaders of our Uniting Church. May they grow in the knowledge of God's infinite love, be shaped by Jesus' words and ministry, and be inspired by the Holy Spirit in their sense of purpose
  • Let not fear and anxiety predominate our thoughts and determine our actions, but with calm and balanced minds approach these days ahead.

  • Synod of SA Strategic Planning
    If you would like to provide feedback on Synod of SA’s missional priorities and directions for the next 3 to 5 years, please let us know by completing this online survey which will close on 30th
  • Disability Royal Commission Survey
    Ministers, chairs and secretaries of congregations are reminded to complete the survey for the Uniting Church’s Disability Royal Commission National Task Group by today 15 September to help inform the Church’s communication with the Disability Royal Commission. Induction of Rev Jesse Size

The Induction Service of Rev Jesse Size to the Ministry of Deacon in the Para Hills Congregation will take place on Sunday, 27th September 2020 in the Para Hills Uniting Church, Corner Liberman Road and Barcoo Street, Para Hills commencing at 4.00 pm.

Anti-Poverty Sunday 11 October 2020

Poverty exists. Poverty hurts us all. We can all do something about it.

The Moderator Bronte Wilson invites Uniting Churches in SA to join UnitingCare Wesley Bowden in the fight against disadvantage by having an Anti-Poverty Sunday.

Since 2002, Anti-Poverty Week is the week including 17 October, the United Nations Day for the Eradication of Poverty. In 2020, Anti-Poverty Week will be held from the 11th to the 17th of October.

Season of Creation Prayer

This month Uniting Church members are joining with Christians everywhere in prayer and action to encourage greater care for the earth as part of Season of Creation.

UCA President Dr Deidre Palmer has written a prayer which Uniting Church members and congregations might like to share in their worship and devotional time during September. The prayer can be read here: https://uniting.church/ready-for-action/#deidre

Day of Action and Online Prayer Vigil

Uniting Church members are encouraged to join the Day of Action on 25 September under the School Strike for Climate banner and in partnership with First Nation leaders. They are calling for post-COVID stimulus spending to be about investing in low carbon, employment-intensive jobs and not about propping up a failing gas industry. The theme is "Fund our future, not gas".

All Christians across Australia are invited to join the Common Grace-hosted online prayer vigil  for creation and climate justice, which will take place on Thursday 24 September.

President’s conference 2020

Join UCA President Dr Deidre Palmer in exploring the themes of ‘call’ and every member ministry in her President’s Conference webinar on Saturday 3rd October 2020. The topics are: called by God, every member ministry and faith in public. Registration is free via online form here. Webinars will be recorded and they will be made available for people to use in their local context. On Sunday 4th October, worship will be live streamed through the Assembly online worship forum.

MediaCom Education will release the first three months of 'L3 - Lay Leaders' Liturgy' beginning on Sunday, 29th November.
