World day against child labour

Today, Wednesday 12 June, is the World day against child labour. The 2019 theme is: Children shouldn’t work in fields, but on dreams! According to the International Labour Organisation there are still 152 million children caught in child labour with 70% of them working in agriculture. There is also a strong correlation between child labour and situations of conflict and disaster. If you intend to speak up on social media on this issue, use #nochildlabourday in your messages. Find out more on the ILO website.
