Investing Wisely

The Ethical Investment Working Group, on behalf of the Uniting Church, helps the church invest wisely and responsibly – when thinking about our planet and all of God’s people. This includes avoiding companies whose products, services or practices cause injustice and suffering, infringe human rights or cause unacceptable damage to the natural environment. The Exclusion List shows the companies that the Church currently avoids investing in.

After consultation with AMP Ltd, the Ethical Investment Working Group has added AMP Ltd to the Exclusion List on the basis of the infringement of human rights.

Congregations with their own investments are reminded that they are asked to comply with the Ethical Investment Policy and to observe the Exclusion List. Congregations are asked to declare that they have abided by the policy, by adding a note to their annual financial statements.
