ACHA Christmas Hampers

This year UnitingCare and Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Incorporated (ACHA) joined together in a wonderful collaborative effort to help those in need at Christmas! The partnership to create Christmas hampers for vulnerable members of the community is truly heartening. ACHA Health's involvement, with its three major private hospitals and a sizeable staff of around 2,000, reflects a commitment to community well-being.

On 5th December 2023, over 20 volunteers from the Synod and ACHA Health joined forces and with the support of Uniting Church North Adelaide we managed to assemble over 120 Christmas Hampers for the Emergency Relief Centres across South Australia. The centres that were provided with hampers included North Adelaide, Taperoo, Glenelg, Noarlunga, Kapunda and Mount Barker. The hampers will undoubtedly make a significant impact on individuals and families in need.

A special thank you to all the contributors, volunteers and everyone involved on the day. Their collective effort and generosity will make a positive difference in the lives of those facing challenges during the Christmas season. The spirit of giving shines brightly through initiatives like packing days and fosters a sense of community and compassion.
