Reflection of the Week - 10 December 2019

'You my child, will be called the Prophet of the most high. You will go ahead of the Lord, to prepare his road for him. To tell his people that they will be saved, by having their sins forgiven. Luke 1:76-77

Advent; the threshold of the Christmas season, a time to herald the keeping of God's promise of a Saviour. The Prophet invites me to prepare myself in readiness for the coming of the Christ Child. A time to wait, yet a time to act.

Newspaper ads and supermarket junk mail invite me to prepare for the coming Christmas season with a pantry full of food and drink. God invites to celebrate the coming of Jesus by sharing some of this bounty with a person in need.

“Lord Jesus Christ, lead me in my quest of self-examination in preparation for your coming, that I might forgive and be forgiven. Amen.'

Reflection of the Week - 16th April 2024

Don’t you wonder sometimes how our covenant Lord who is God – Creator, Master, and Teacher, can and does create from nothing and does not need anything or anyone but is helplessly in love with you?
