Jennifer Hughes (Executive Officer – Mission Resourcing)

Paul Goh (Mission Activator)

Rev Dr Paul Goh is a Mission Activator with the Synod of South Australia’s Mission Resourcing team. Ordained in the Presbyterian Church of Korea in 1999, he has served in ministry across Korea, the United States, and Australia, including Korean, multicultural, and Fijian congregations in Melbourne. He is especially passionate about church renewal as a covenanting and intercultural church, committed to reconciliation and the renewal of all creation.

His work focuses on justice advocacy, intercultural capacity-building, and equipping congregations to embody God’s mission in an increasingly multicultural context. He has led initiatives such as Awaken Adelaide: Intercultural Neighbourhood Pilot Congregation and contributes to the wider Church as Advocate for the Being a Multicultural Church Circle and as President-elect of the Uniting Church in Australia Assembly.

Paul is married to Grace and is a proud dad to Eunjoo, who is studying a double degree in Engineering and Commerce at university. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, bushwalking, and exploring new places.

Cyrus Kung (Mission Activator)

Cyrus joined the Mission Resourcing team towards the end of 2024, currently he shares his time also working as the Church Engagement Manager - Uniting World (SA and WA). Cyrus is passionate about seeing local communities grow and engage both within their own contexts as well as those slightly beyond their place of comfort.  

With experience in church, community, and intercultural spaces, Cyrus has a heart for people who live “in-between” worlds—those negotiating identity, transition, and place. His leadership is marked by listening, walking alongside others, and holding space for honest conversation and transformation.

Cyrus is committed to nurturing communities that reflect Christ’s embrace of the outsider and the marginalised. Whether in the pulpit, at the table, or in local neighbourhoods, he seeks to embody the gospel as good news that restores, reconciles, and reimagines life together.

Scott Litchfield (Mission Activator)

Rev. Deacon Scott Litchfield brings a deep commitment to being a part of God’s mission in the world, and the renewal of the church and all creation. Scott is shaped by over three decades of ministry during which he has consistently sought new ways to collaborate across cultures and communities. His educational journey through theology, pastoral studies, and cross-cultural communication, alongside his deep cultural immersion living in Thailand and Cambodia, is reflected in his passion for building intercultural capacity and helping the church engage faithfully with contemporary cultural complexity. Through his recent role with Bridgewater Uniting Community and as an Adjunct Lecturer at Uniting College for Leadership and Theology, he continues to explore how grassroots congregational life can connect meaningfully with strategic leadership development for the church's future.

Throughout his ministry journey, often shared with his wife Rachael, Scott has been privileged to participate in local community mission and evangelism that bridges practical service with gospel witness, from working alongside refugee and migrant communities to contributing to community development initiatives across Asia. His time in Cambodia, where he helped establish formation programs for cross-cultural workers and co-founded a language school, offered valuable insights into how communities can grow together in faith vitality and formation across cultural boundaries. His experience with Interserve, spanning multiple contexts and countries, has deepened his understanding of how collaborative ministry can create sustainable impact while nurturing the spiritual growth of all involved.

In his congregational work with Bridgewater Uniting Community, Scott learnt alongside the community as they explored together fresh approaches to neighbourhood connections and outward-focused ministry. This experience offers insights for other churches navigating similar transitions. His involvement in developing the Community Ministry Pathway at UCLT identifies his ongoing commitment to forming life-long disciples and effective leaders through educational approaches that integrate theology, justice, and community engagement. Having witnessed God's faithfulness across diverse cultural and ministry contexts, Scott brings a hopeful perspective on what becomes possible when communities seek to bear authentic witness to the good news of Jesus in our changing world. Scott and Rachael share their house with Hope, a covid-era rescue cat, and have two adult sons and a daughter in law living in Australia and Canada.

Tim Littleford (Mission Activator)

Tim is husband to Ash and dad to Judah and Olive. He loves fossicking for books, pottering around in the garden and liquorice ice cream. Tim pastors Encounter Church Henley, a church plant in the western suburbs of Adelaide alongside his work as a Mission Activator. Nothing excites Tim more than seeing people coming alive to God through faith in Jesus Christ and growing in zeal for Him.

Melissa Neumann (Mission Activator)

Melissa has been part of the Mission Resourcing team for many years working in children and families ministries and more recently in intergenerational discipleship. As a Mission Activator, her role has broadened, particularly now engaging in the area of Covenanting, whilst also continuing to include equipping and encouraging congregations and ministry leaders in intergenerational ministry, resourcing children and families ministry and providing leadership training, including through ecumenical partnerships in SA and Australia. She is also a Regional Coordinator for Messy Church in SA. Melissa is also one of the Synod’s facilitators for the “Through their eyes: reporting abuse and neglect” training.

Melissa began post-graduate studies in 2024 which included the unit Kungan Kaldowinyeri: Listening to Creation with teaching by Kukabrak Ngarrindjeri elders and leaders and time on Yarluwe-Ruwe (Sea Country). A highlight of 2025 was involvement with an Adnyamathanha Pilgrimage to Ikara-Flinders Ranges with Adnyamathanha elders. Her office is on the land of the Kaurna people and she has recently moved with her family to the hills of the Peramangk people.

Melissa enjoys exploring her new surroundings, including walks in the local wetlands, observing the variety of bird life, and discovering good local cafes with gluten free food. She is keen to continue listening for/to/with God through creation and to explore the concept of “slowing down to the pace of the river” a concept shared while on Yarluwe-Ruwe. Melissa loves time with her family and friends, whilst also carving out time for reading fiction, trying new recipes, and attempting to garden.

Nick Patselis (Mission Activator)

Nick loves the unique opportunity his current role gives him to work both locally and across the broader church. He splits his time between being a Mission Activator with the Mission Resourcing team and serving as Minister at Woodside Uniting Church – a combination that keeps him grounded in the day-to-day realities of congregational life while also dreaming about what's possible for churches across South Australia.

What really gets Nick excited is seeing congregations discover fresh energy and purpose. Whether it's helping a church work through the Missional Framework, developing disciples who are passionate about their faith, or building high performing teams, he's drawn to the spaces where transformation happens.
