Poets' Corner is a regular event held by the Effective Living Centre the May event will include input from Australian poet Jan Owen.
Jan Owen's seventh book, The Offhand Angel, was published in London by Eyewear. Her translations from Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal were published in 2015 by Arc. She was awarded the Philip Hodgins Memorial Medal in 2016 and a NSW.
The Australian Poetry Review described Jan's work as moving “from the microscopic to the cosmic; from the present to the past (and vice versa); from the local to the exotic; from the abstract to the embodied and from the act of representing to the act of meditating.”
Cost: $15 Adult / $12 Concession / $10 ELC Member Friend. Please pay at the door.
