“Disciple” is not a term only reserved for 1st century Christians, it is the term all Christ followers are known by. God desires healthy disciples today, ordinary men and women like you and me whom God can use to do extraordinary things. Disciples who are empowered by the Holy Spirit are beautiful instruments in the hand of God.
A disciple is a learner, willing to learn from their teacher - not passively, but actively, and engaged with the purpose of applying what they learn.
Jesus makes it clear that when it comes to personal discipleship, he is more interested in quality than quantity. Jesus is interested in showing us how to live out our faith with the kind of connection to the Father's heart that shapes the kingdom of God on earth.
Peter Steicke will be presenting Sessions 1, 2 and 3. Peter is a Lutheran pastor who was called away from his congregation by the Holy Spirit seven years ago. He is trained to equip people to plant house churches (church outside the four walls of the building), that will multiply and expand. In addition, he resources the wider Body of Christ through teaching and motivating.
