What is the Engagement Ministry Centre?

The Engagement Ministry Centre at the Synod is made up of a small, dedicated team of communications specialists. We develop a range of materials designed to encourage and support communication within the church and between the church and the wider community.

Meet the Engagement Team

Bridget Ransome, Executive Officer, Engagement Ministry Centre

Bridget has had an extensive career across marketing, media, communications and event management, highlighted by more than eleven years at SAS Channel 7 Adelaide in a variety of roles. She is a professional editor and freelance writer with a degree in Professional and Creative Communication (majoring in writing) and First Class Honours also in writing. In her role as Executive Officer, Bridget manages the Engagement Ministry Centre which is responsible for communications, media and campaigns delivered on behalf of the Uniting Church in South Australia.

Alex Gatley, Senior Graphic and Digital Designer

Alex is a skilled graphic designer with experience working with church organisations and not-for-profits. He believes engaging and professional visual communication is essential for sharing the messages, interests and stories of the church, in a positive and impactful way.



Emelia Haskey, Engagement and Communications Officer

Emelia is a recent graduate of the University of Adelaide, having studied a Bachelor of Media (Journalism Major) and produced news content for InDaily, CityMag, The Lead and Radio Adelaide. She was the 2019 State Poetry Slam Champion, representing South Australia at the Australian National Poetry Slam the same year at the Sydney Opera House. She is a freelance writer and presenter, and a member of the Brougham Place Uniting Church congregation in North Adelaide.

 

 

 

Azi Parvandar, Graphic and Digital Designer 

 Azi is a multidisciplinary designer who thrives on immersing into diverse Design Projects, spanning graphic and digital design ventures. Her mission is to assist businesses and congregations in crafting effective branding. 

 

 

Lucy Wiseman, Events and Promotions Officer

Lucy, formally from Western Australia has been working in event coordination for the last five years. She holds qualifications in events management, marketing communications and is in her final year of her Digital Social Media and Strategic Marketing degree. Lucy has experience in working for not-for-profits and has a personal and professional passion for organisational and customer communications.
