Insurance Renewals for 2020

Our Insurance Services team in conjunction with our insurance broker has negotiated renewal terms for the next 12 months. Insurance renewal tax invoices will be sent out as soon as we are advised by our brokers of new premiums for next year.

If you have any unoccupied buildings, don’t forget to advise the Property and Insurance Services teams as soon as they are re-occupied. In addition, our insurers have reminded us of the policy conditions that relate to unoccupied properties. It is a condition of our cover that the buildings:

  • are inspected at least every 30 days
  • have all utilities (gas, water and electricity) turned off
  • and that any damage is reported as soon as possible to Insurance Services and Property Services departments.

Please also remember that, any privately-owned property left at a church (such as musical instruments, tools or other items), is NOT covered by our insurance policies and are left at the owner’s risk. Ministers’ property is covered by the policies but not those of congregation members or other church users.
