Reflection of the week

Posted in Faith

We wonder about the presence of God.

God’s presence in our time of trouble. In times of joy. In times of turbulence. In times when our lives are so full, so busy that we barely know our own thoughts.

“Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.” – Isaiah 58:9

The promise of God – if we call, God will answer! God will say “Here I am”. His presence is available simply by calling on him. It is not conditional on us doing anything but calling on him. Even in the turbulence, in the busyness, God's presence is available to us.

Prayer

Thank you loving God for your presence in our lives, for answering our call, for inviting us to call on you. Thank you for your gift of Jesus, the giving of his life, dying for us so that we might live and know your presence in our lives. Thank you for your amazing love, the promise of your love – today, tomorrow and every day.

We give you praise, glory and honour, as our God, our King and our Father. Lord, help us to reflect your love to the people around us today and tomorrow. Help us to live out your presence in our lives so that all may see your love, your life, your peace. We give you praise!

Reflection of the Week - 16th April 2024

Don’t you wonder sometimes how our covenant Lord who is God – Creator, Master, and Teacher, can and does create from nothing and does not need anything or anyone but is helplessly in love with you?
