Submitting the most current police check form

The Synod Screening Services Unit is unable to accept any ‘old style’ police check forms which continue to be submitted. These will be returned to the applicant for re-submission using the current form. Please destroy all stocks of old forms and download the current form from the website here.

 

Adelaide West Uniting Church Men’s Choir celebrates 10 years of music & fundraising

Over the past 10 years, the Adelaide West Men’s Choir have raised more than $50,000 for different charity groups around South Australia. They perform around the state, bringing music to different communities, any of whom don’t often have an opportunity to experience choir music. The Adelaide West Men’s Choir are celebrating their 10th anniversary with a caberet concert at Adelaide West Uniting Church on Saturday 1 April from 5 – 7.30pm. Come along and show your support of this important ministry.

 

Overdue 2017 Mission & Service Fund Contribution Response Forms

If you are yet to submit your 2017 Mission & Service Fund Contribution Response Form please download the form here and send or scan and email the completed document to the Synod office. This information and commitment to contribute is an important part of budgeting and subsequent reporting for the Synod office. Overdue audited 2015 financial statements
Copies of audited 2015 financial statements for congregations, faith communities and ‘parishes’ were due with the Synod office by 30 June 2016. Easter postcard orders – due 27 February!

Orders are still open for this year's Easter postcards and posters! Posters and postcards are a great way for Uniting Church congregations and communities to share the details of their Easter services and events. More information about this year’s theme, “New life, new season”, the design and ordering is available here.

Postcards cost $75 per 1,000 (smaller numbers can be ordered – see the link above for more information), while A3 posters are $20 for 10 (minimum of 10). Orders close on Monday 27 February, 2017.

 

Upcoming events

The majority of Uniting Church SA events are listed on the upcoming events list here.

Some of the events coming up this week include the Effective Living Centre’s social issues forum on punishment, an open house and service featuring a special display of quilts at Dernancourt Uniting Church and Messy Church at The Corner Uniting Church.

For those planning ahead, both Moonta Uniting Church and Port Augusta Uniting Church will be holding 150 year anniversary celebrations in the coming months! All are welcome to attend these celebrations.
