About Us

We believe that we are able to offer to our community a caring, warm friendship in which pastoral care is of high priority.

Groups and Activities include 'Uniting Families' meeting for Sunday lunch and fellowship from time to time, Home Communion for those unable to attend services, Bible Study & Discussion Groups, Adult Fellowship, Craft Fellowship, and a Walk & Talk group.

We also support the school Chaplains prayerfully & financially.

The congregation dates from 1844 and the Heritage-listed St. Andrews Church building from 1848.  It has become an icon of Strathalbyn, now floodlit at night by the Alexandrina Council. However, 175 years of weather and time have required extensive renovation and the congregation is now engaging with the community in fundraising for that.  So far over $250,000 has been received from grants, donations, fundraising events and bequests.  We have paid for a structural & heritage survey and made the front Spire safe. We shall soon begin restoring Roof & Gutters at the western end of the church, but need another $1 million to complete the Roof, Gutters, Spire and front Masonry.  The Clock Tower will be a later project.

St Andrews Church overlooks the Angas River and the town's Memorial Gardens, and is an ideal setting for weddings.  It is also available for funerals, concerts and other events.  St Andrews Hall is available for functions and community groups. For bookings, do call 0403 270 506.
