Strathalbyn (St Andrew's) Uniting Church
Alfred Place, Strathalbyn
Sunday 9.15am (Holy Communion second Sunday each month)
Our style of worship is mostly traditional, with excellent musicians playing organ, piano & flute. We are developing creative congregational participation.
The children join in worship with the adults prior to 'Kid's Church'.
We welcome people of all ages to join us in worship and share in fellowship and morning tea following the service.
Combined worship with Ashbourne, Langhorne Creek, Finniss & Milang is held at various times of the year to celebrate special events.
Ecumenical Services, and events are also an important part of our function.
Worship & communion are both held regularly in the Strathalbyn Aged Care Facilities.
We believe that we are able to offer to our community a caring, warm friendship in which pastoral care is of high priority.
'Uniting Families', young families caring for each other, meet for lunch and fellowship on a Sunday bi-monthly. This fellowship includes church and non church families.
Other Groups and Activities include Ministry to Seniors, Tape Ministry, Pleasant Sunday Afternoons, Children's Ministry, Prayer Chain, Study Groups, Friendship Groups, Adult Fellowship, Craft Fellowship.
We also support the school Chaplains prayerfully & financially.
St. Andrews church is heritage listed, the first stage being built in 1844, and has become the icon of Strathalbyn. This grand old worship centre also serves the community as an excellent venue for concerts & Eisteddfods.
Build adjacent to the Angus River, the large trees, lawns and roses makes this stately historic place an ideal setting for many weddings.
