About Us
Meadows Uniting Church is situated in a rural town in the Adelaide Hills. Meadows is rapidly growing with a new estate. You can find us on the main road, near the post office.
Meadows Uniting Church people come from a range of denominational backgrounds. A unique and welcoming group, we believe in following the sovereign Lord Jesus we meet in the gospels to the best of our ability.
What drives us is a belief that Jesus not only died for all but accepts all as they come. People don't need to change who they are to come follow Jesus - but He will surely change us as we do. We believe that following Jesus is less about adherence to a set of rules than it is about finding our freedom in Him.Our passion is that people will discover why Jesus died for them, what the implications of the empty tomb are and what a life following Him looks like.
We have "Godly Play" during sermon time on two Sundays most months and a kid's corner in the main auditorium. Youth activities are the 4th Friday of each month during the school year. Pre-schoolers can also enjoy MOOSIC, a music and motion program with sessions on Wednesday mornings in the carpeted church at either 9 or 10am. The church hall has a great community which gathers as part of "The Closet" Op Shop on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 4pm. Visitors are very welcome to share a cuppa and check out the constantly changing stock of clothes and toys.
We are very connected with our local community through chaplaincy at both the primary school and football club and engage with many of the community events.
