'Talking the Walk' Workshops

Gartrell Church

Corner Prescott Terrace and Alexandra Avenue, Rose Park

10 May 2024 9:30am - 1:00pm

Event details

The "Talking the Walk" Workshops are specially designed for people aged over 60. The aim is to encourage and equip us in sharing our faith with our peers in the community as participants in the church’s Great Commission. This will not involve memorising and reciting the verses of the "Romans Road" or learning an evangelism strategy or programme; instead, the workshops will help us tease out the gold threads of God’s presence and activity in our personal life journey (Workshop 1) and help us put them into a narrative that we can share in natural conversation (Workshop 2).

Whatever you may think of your own journey, your ability to share with others, or your usefulness to the mission, please do come along to the workshops. God only requires our willingness to be used for his Kingdom; we can trust him to provide what we need for his purposes.

When: May 10 and 17, 2024, 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a "bring and share" lunch
Where: Gartrell Church, corner Prescott Terrace & Alexandra Avenue, Rose Park
Cost: $30 for the two workshops; includes morning tea (9:30-10) and workbooks
