We are celebrating 180 years of worship on this site (since 1844) with a Church service and History display, along with refreshments. We will be honored by the attendance of Her Excellency, the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, and the General Secretary of the Uniting Church SA Synod, Rev Philip Gardner.
Bookings not required. Donations to St Andrews Strathalbyn Restoration Fund.
An SA History Festival event and part of the Strathalbyn 185 in 2024 celebrations.
The stone building of St. Andrews Strathalbyn (1848), now a Uniting Church, is the oldest remaining Presbyterian church building in South Australia, with the first two in Adelaide having been demolished some years after their congregations moved to larger churches.
