To mark the 40th anniversary of the Uniting Church, the Port Elliot congregation will hold a special worship service led by Rev Anne Butler on Sunday 25 June at Resthaven Port Elliot.
The service will commence at 9.30am in the community hall and will include special music by the choir directed by Marj Thornton (OAM).
The establishment of the Resthaven Port Elliot community was largely the result of the foresight of the late Rev Robert Miller who worked with a small committee to establish an aged care facility in Port Elliot.
Since it was built the church congregation have forged an important link with the facility . Members hold a short service there each week and assist with various activities.
