SA Church Women Inc. is an organisation that brings women of different Christian denominations together in worship and service. All are invited to a gathering to celebrate and learn more of the life and impact of Rev Winifred Kiek, the first woman ordained in Christian ministry in Australia, and to hear about the work of the Winifred Kiek Memorial Scholarship Trust.
Winifred's grand-daughter Carys Penny will share her story with us.
Barbara Grear will then speak about the scholarships and the opportunities these continue to provide to women in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, to access education for ministry and service.
A light lunch will follow.
This is a free event, but there will be an offering for the work of the Scholarship Trust.
