After our very successful 2020/2021 Wilks Oration with Stan Grant (held in February this year due to COVID delays), the Effective Living Centre (ELC) Management Committee decided to hold another oration this year with a South Australian speaker.
We have been fortunate to get Tameka Thompson, a young woman who was recently awarded one of the 40 under 40 Awards given in SA. She will speak about an exciting project called ‘Aspire’ that she runs from the Hutt Street Centre in Adelaide, which is designed to get homeless people back into residential accommodation and in touch with families and friends. She has had amazing success and will tell us about this on Friday 21st October 7.00pm at the Effective Living Centre, 26 King William Road, Wayville.
Ash and Joseph, an acoustic duo who played at our recent ELC Concert for Peace, Love and Understanding, will also play for us. Drinks and nibbles will be served before the Oration with supper afterwards.
Tickets: $30 General admission, $25 concession, $10 live stream
