Governor to attend Tartan Sunday Service

A special worship service will be held at Wesley Uniting Church Kent Town on Sunday 4th July 2021 at 10.00 am to celebrate Scottish Heritage and Culture.

His excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC, Governor of South Australia and Mrs Le will be in attendance and will be appropriately dressed in Scottish attire.

Representatives of Scottish clans will also be present and participate in the service. Clan banners will be paraded in, accompanied by bagpipes and there will be further renditions on the bagpipes during the service. In keeping with the Scottish theme, highland dancers will also be featured.

Wesley's magnificent pipe organ, played by organist, Graham Bell will accompany the hymn singing and delightful Scottish pieces sung by an augmented Wesley Choir.

Worship leaders will be Rev Dr Jonathan Barker and Rev Mac Macdonald.

Please feel free to wear something tartan, and in line with Vice Regal Protocol, please be seated prior to 10.00 am

Morning Tea will follow the service.
