South Australia has sent over 150 missionaries into the world to serve alongside international church partners. This event celebrates those people from our forming denominations and the South Australian Synod of the Uniting Church and the contribution they have made in forming lasting missional connections that are mutually beneficial for our church and others.
On Sunday October 11th 2020 at 2pm, gathering at Burnside City UC, we will hear from past missionaries Jenny Charlesworth (Methodist church), Jenny Young ( Congregational church) and Brian Ball ( Presbyterian church) about early missional work in Papua New Guinea and Thailand, and from Lawrie and Cathy Lingood as Uniting Church missionaries in Korea, with whom we celebrate 30 years of partnership with the PROK church.
Our international mission officer Tarlee Leondaris will speak on Mission Today.
A celebrate cake for the Korean anniversary will lead our Covid safe afternoon tea to follow.
