An Invitation to a great course to inform people about how to be a connector, friend and guide.
Baptist Care will provide free interactive training to give social support, friendship and advice to someone who has arrived in Adelaide as an ex-refugee or person seeking asylum.
What's it about:- A friendship fusing Interactive training – learn how to be a friend with a refugee person and become part of a group of people who love to exchange cultural traditions, swap recipes and cooking experiences. Explore Adelaide in new ways with a new friend to enjoy inter-cultural and interfaith learning in many more rich ways. Volunteers will be matched with a new arrival according to age, gender and interests.
Who: Volunteers must be over the age of 22 and willing to travel to northern suburbs / live there.
When: Two Monday evenings: 10 and 24 February, 6 – 8.30 pm (a lovely tea will be provided)
