The Poonindie Uniting Church will be celebrating its 90th Anniversary on Sunday 24th November. The Celebrations will commence from 12:30pm with a shared lunch and the cutting of the birthday cake. Then from 2:00pm a Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving to God will be held, with participation from local artists and sharing of recent achievements.
The Methodist Community of Poonindie held their first service in the open air close to the place where the hall now stands and for the next 34 years met at various locations, schools and halls. The Poonindie Church, nestled in farmland on the corner of the Port Lincoln Highway and White Flat Road, was opened on 30th November 1929. The first church service was held in it on the following day. You are welcome to share our joy and celebrate with us. Come and bring your memories.
