Site help

We hope you are finding our website easy to navigate and full of relevant content.

Navigation

To help you find your bearings, you might like to know there are many "websites" that make up our Uniting Church SA website:

To jump between these main "site areas" simply use the drop-down "Quicklinks menu" in the top right of all web pages in this site.

To jump back to the main "portal" or "entry" page, look for the "Home - Uniting Church home" button in the very top left of any page. Click on that to go to the main entrance to this site.

A way to find most things is to search using the "search box" available on many pages. Our search function allows you to narrow your search to particular types of content - try it out.

Another way to locate things is to use the "site map". You can find a link to a site map at the bottom of most pages. Click on this to see a simple, clickable list of all the main pages in the specific website area you are in at the time. If you see what you want, click the link and you will be taken there.

Downloads

Finally, a word about PDFs and other downloads.

There is a lot of content on this site available as PDF files. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these files. The advantage is you get to see them as the author intended and not skewed as sometimes happens when documents are saved in other formats. You can download a free copy of the software from the Adobe website.

When downloading any documents from the internet, apart from making sure your anti-virus software is up-to-date to keep you safe from viruses, we suggest you right-click on download links and choose to "save target as" to save the document to your computer before trying to open it. Often, if you just click to open a download document, it can take a while and make you think your computer has frozen. Saving the file first gives you more control and feedback over the situation.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please use the "contact webmaster" link at the bottom of most pages of the site and share them with me. Steve Davis, webmaster.
