Reflection of the Week - 16th April 2024
Don’t you wonder sometimes how our covenant Lord who is God – Creator, Master, and Teacher, can and does create from nothing and does not need anything or anyone but is helplessly in love with you?

Children are a special part of our society. Childrens' Week will soon be held from Sunday 22 to Sunday 30 October. We can learn a lot from the faith of a child. Unquestioningly, they accept the Father's love, and are joyful in Him.
Jesus had a special place in his heart for children.
The Little Children and Jesus – as told in Mark's Gospel, Chapter 10:
People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for your compassion and love for children. May we learn from this account the lesson you would have us know, and embrace a child-like faith and love for you.
Let me see the world differently, like a child, in awe of the many wonders and blessings surrounding us. Make my heart soft and gentle towards you, and your people.
Thank you for the gift of children. Amen.

Jesus meets Thomas the way he meets all of us—wherever we are when we decide we are ready.
It’s nearly 5 years since the introduction of the Working With Childrens Check (WWCC) became a minimum requirement for those with roles of responsibility within the life of the church.
