Reflection of the week

Posted in Faith

When God drafts me to serve, especially when it means moving out of my comfort zone, I am often tempted to offer a reason to opt out. I am especially conscious of situations where I may be inarticulate.

Jeremiah, called to save a nation, offers this excuse: “I do not know how to speak; I am only a boy” (Jeremiah 1:8).

I am reminded of the promise of God to the prophet to provide the resources his prophet needed – and all those I may require too.

Prayer

O God, you call me to speak and act for you. In spite of my timidity, I have every confidence in your promise to show me how.

Reflection of the Week - 16th April 2024

Don’t you wonder sometimes how our covenant Lord who is God – Creator, Master, and Teacher, can and does create from nothing and does not need anything or anyone but is helplessly in love with you?
