“Shaping Worship, Shaping Worshippers” is a masterclass series for worship leaders and team members that will explore topics such as space setting, symbolic gesture, living the lectionary, and spiritual practices. It will be held weekly on Mondays over four sessions from 21 August to 11 September at Café Fellini in North Adelaide.
“Integrity, Passion, Call: Preaching in Today’s World” is a conversation series for ministers and preachers to discuss developing and strengthening preaching skills. It will provide an opportunity to connect with, and learn from, fellow preachers. The four sessions will take place on Mondays fortnightly from 14 August to 25 September at La Scala Café in Unley.

Intergenerational worship ideas for Pentecost
The “Engage Together” resource provides ideas to adapt the welcome, call to worship, prayer of confession, music and Bible reading elements of a worship service to be more intergenerational during the season of Pentecost (June-July 2017). This resource has been written and produced in partnership across three Uniting Church Synods, including the Uniting Church SA, and is free to download here.
Double passes for "The Shack" available
The Uniting Church SA is giving away free double passes to the film "The Shack" when members register for the upcoming Uniting Leaders conference.
Based on William P Young's popular 2007 novel, "The Shack" is a film about the spiritual journey of father Mack Phillips after he suffers a family tragedy that causes a crisis of faith (see the trailer here). A limited number of these passes are available and will be sent to the first people who register from the start of the giveaway period.
Uniting Leaders 2017 will be held at Hope Valley Uniting Church from 22-24 August. To find out more or to register, please click here.
