Change of venue: Congregational Website training – February session

Due to the high amount of interest in the upcoming February training session, for the new Uniting Church SA Congregational Website Program, the location of the event has changed from the Synod office to classroom W1 (upstairs in the west wing) at Uniting College for Leadership & Theology (34 Lipsett Terrace, Brooklyn Park).

The session will still be held on Thursday 2 February, 9.30am – 12noon. It is provided for people who have already signed up to the new Congregational Website Program and for those who are interested in learning more about using it for their congregation.

The deadline for expressions of interest has now passed. An email has been sent to all attendees outlining the change in venue.

Easter postcard orders – now open!

Orders are open for this year's Easter postcards and posters! This year's theme is "new life, new season":

Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life…” (John 11:25)

New life…
At Easter, we reflect on Jesus’ life, death and resurrection – a time of mourning and celebration. On Good Friday, we grieve together as we remember how Jesus died upon the cross and our own role in his suffering. But as Holy Saturday draws to a close and Easter Sunday dawns, we celebrate the resurrection, the rolling away of the stone.
We are reminded that Christ was sent for us and died for us – so that we could be raised into new life with him.
New season…
The Easter story reminds us of the power of God’s enduring love in an ever-changing world.
For our Uniting Church congregations and faith communities, Easter offers an opportunity to be refreshed and enter a new season.

Posters and postcards are a great way for Uniting Church congregations and communities to share the details of their Easter services and events.

Postcard cost: $75 per 1,000 (for smaller amounts, please contact Communications via email at Turn on Javascript!)
Poster cost: $20 for 10 A3 posters (minimum of 10)
Orders close on Monday 27 February

Orders can be placed online at sa.uca.org.au/postcards

Reminder: UC e-News & Pastoral Note changes in 2017

As advised in December 2016, some changes have been made to emails received by UC e-News subscribers in 2017.

Prior to the changes, subscribers received the weekly email newsletter, e-Updates during Presbytery & Synod meetings, and ad hoc Pastoral Notes on a variety of topics.

In 2017, current UC e-News subscribers will continue to receive the weekly e-newsletter and e-Updates. The e-Updates will cover current events (natural disasters, urgent church news, etc.) and Presbytery and Synod meetings.

Pastoral Notes will now be sent to a new subscriber list. The notes will mainly reflect on the lives and ministry of Uniting Church SA leaders who have recently passed away. If you would like to subscribe to the new Pastoral Note list, please email Turn on Javascript!

People with a listening ear, who are prepared to offer a ministry of presence, care and comfort to disaster-affected people, are invited to be trained and apply for this significant ministry. They may also be dropped in at the Uniting Church SA office (Level 2, 212 Pirie Street, Adelaide), and pick up of stamps is also generally available.
