KCO news!

The KCO 2016 Group Coordinator’s Handbook, sign-up form, registration forms and Church Council forms are all available NOW at sa.uca.org.au/kco. This information will assist churches to get started with bringing a group to KCO.

Remember to complete your National Police History Checks ASAP (no later than 29 July)

June Presbytery & Synod meeting – Yapp app

New documents for the upcoming meeting have been uploaded to the new Yapp app in time for the upcoming Presbytery & Synod meeting at Adelaide West Uniting Church on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 June. Global Leadership Summit 2016

​Seeds Uniting Church will provide access to the Global Leadership Summit on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 October this year. Registrations are open and an early bird offer has been extended until Sunday 31 July. Discounted prices are also available for full time students under the age of 30. Annual lecture

Adelaide College of Divinity and the Flinders University Department of Theology will host their annual lecture on Monday 11 July, 7pm at Flinders City Campus (182 Victoria Square, Adelaide). Rev Dr Serene Jones will provide the lecture, speaking on “Revolutionary Love”. For more information, please see the event flyer here.

Adelaide West Community Fair

Adelaide West Uniting Church’s annual Spring Fair is changing to a Community Fair this year due to a slight change of date. The event will be held on Saturday 27 August from 8.30am to 3pm at Adelaide West Uniting Church. There will be numerous stalls and activities – plants, craft, homemade produce, books, face painting, clowns, and much more!

Seeking expressions of interest

The Pastoral Relations and Mission Planning Team are seeking expressions of interest for people wanting to serve the rural church in positions currently designated as Field Officers. Field Officers will be remunerated at about 0.2 FTE and work with congregations in Mission Planning, developing collegiality and continuing education for ministers and leaders.

Micah Australia Prayer & Worship Gathering

In the lead up to the 2016 Federal Election Micah Australia will be hosting Prayer and Worship Gatherings in major cities across the country. Those gathered will join their voices together in prayer for elected leaders to have the courage, vision and wisdom to lead Australia in contributing generously to a just, peaceful and sustainable world.

The Adelaide Prayer and Worship Gathering will be held on Saturday 25 June, 7-9pm at St Matthew’s, Kensington (146 Kensington Road, Marryatville).
